In the context of a far-ranging business reorganization, with the goal of communicating with improved clarity and of providing increased product visibility, Cantina di Soave is changing its name. Its new name will be CADIS 1898.
“Our outward appearance may be changing, but certainly not the spirit of this 125-year-old institution, a soul that has guided us in achieving impressive results for our 2,000 member-growers and for all the loyal customers who have been purchasing and enjoying our wines these many years,” stated CADIS 1898 CEO Wolfgang Raifer.
CADIS 1898 is actually an acronym comprised of the initials of the historic name, accompanied by the foundation year of the group, and thus a binomial that conveys a balanced relationship between the historical and the modern. The completely redesigned logo features spare, minimalist graphics in a contemporary key; the new website (www.cadis1898.it) mirrors these characteristics: it is crisp and dynamic in appearance, and superbly effective in communicating and introducing the vitivinicultural group’s complex wine operation.
CADIS 1898 will be the umbrella entity for the four main wine production cellars of Cantina di Soave, Cantina di Montecchia, Cantina di Illasi, and Terre al Lago.
In the future, the markets will see the Soave-area wines as the Cantina di Soave brand, the Valpolicellas as Cantina di Illasi, the Lessini Durello wines as Cantina di Montecchia di Crosara, and finally, the Bardolino and Custoza wines as Terre al Lago. “All these changes have been introduced with a precise goal,” remarked Raifer “of giving a crystal-clear identity to each of our wines and brands and to the growing areas that produce them, and thus promoting what has always been our mission: showcasing the wines of the Verona-area denominations and their unique individual growing areas.”
