The Board of Directors of Cadis 1898 has appointed Alberto Marchisio, oenologist, as the new General Manager of the winery. He will take on the role starting in May, while continuing his consultancy collaboration with Cantine Vitevis, the company from which he comes.
“We have found in him excellent communication skills, an ability to listen and engage with people, as well as strong commercial acumen and organizational, visionary, and oenological talent. These principles and values are the foundation upon which we aim to build a solid future for Cadis 1898. We warmly welcome him into our large family and wish him a future full of success,” said Roberto Soriolo, President of Cadis 1898.
“I owe a great deal to Cantine Vitevis for the experience I gained, both from a managerial and human perspective. My role within the cooperative was to define a new strategy for the wineries it encompassed, enhancing each estate’s unique identity and characteristics without erasing its history, and to organize an innovative and credible entity on the market through high-quality wines that represent the territory.
In my view, the role of a General Manager is to work with a medium- to long-term vision—as was the case at Vitevis—tracing a clear path that can continue even when taking on new challenges.
The position at Cadis 1898 represents an exciting opportunity for me within one of the most significant players in the Italian wine industry. Constructive dialogue with the region and its people will be essential, as will the involvement of collaborators and a strong focus on teamwork,” commented Alberto Marchisio.
