Valpolicella Superiore DOC

The designation “Superiore” is granted to wines with an alcohol content above the minimum required by the appellation, and, above all, to those with superior sensory qualities.
In the vineyard, training systems include both the traditional Pergola Veronese and the more modern Guyot. The blend follows the typical composition of the denomination. Hand harvesting and meticulous winemaking result in a deep, intense red color with violet highlights, an expressive bouquet of small red berries and cherry, and a dry, enveloping palate with the characteristic touch of black cherry on the finish.

GRAPES:

Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella.

Vinification and Ageing:

The hand-harvested grapes undergo maceration for about 15 days. After racking, the wine matures in large oak casks for at least 10 months, followed by bottle ageing.

Aroma:

Intense and fruity, with notes of red berries and black cherry.

Palate:

Full-bodied, balanced, and enveloping, with good structure and persistence. Firm yet elegant tannins lead to a lingering finish of marasca cherry.

ALCOHOL CONTENT:

13%

Excellent with red meats, game, and cheeses.
