Rocca Sveva proudly supports the Soave Guitar Festival with a special Limited Edition “Castelcerino” Soave Classico DOC.
The winery celebrates music and its homeland with an exclusive bottling of Soave “Castelcerino” Classico DOC, dedicated to the 24th edition of the Soave Guitar Festival — an unmissable event for lovers of guitars and fine music, supported by the Municipality of Soave and the Pro Loco Association.
From April 25 to 27, the enchanting setting of Borgo Rocca Sveva will host world-class artists including Tommy Emmanuel, Bruce Welch, John Jorgenson, The Webb Sisters, and many more.
During the festival evenings, our special bottle will take center stage — pairing the authentic taste of Soave with the magic of live music. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a complimentary tour of the winery.
Finally, to mark the 100th anniversary of B.B. King’s birth, the unique “Lucillecaster” guitar will be unveiled — and raffled among the festival audience!

A change at the top for Cadis 1898, the historic wine cooperative from Verona.
As of November 8, the Board of Directors has appointed a new President. During the annual shareholders’ meeting for the presentation and approval of the 2023/2024 financial statement, Roberto Soriolo handed over the role to Gabriele Posenato.
Born in Soave in 1965 and a graduate in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Padua, Gabriele Posenato has been a registered Agronomist since 1996. He is married and the father of two daughters. A founding member of Agrea – Centro Studi, a research company in the field of plant protection well-known in Italy and abroad, Posenato has long been active within Cadis 1898: he served as Vice President from 2010 to 2015, Board Member from 2003 to 2010, and was part of the outgoing Board of Directors.
He is also a passionate musician and guitarist: in 2002 he helped found Wine & Guitar Clan, a non-profit association that has supported numerous charitable projects.
Statement from Outgoing President Roberto Soriolo
“Bringing to a close a 15-year journey — the last six as President — is for me a moment of deep reflection and gratitude.
I have always approached this role with a spirit of service, aware of the responsibilities of leading such a prestigious wine organization.
During these years, rebalancing the company’s finances has been one of our main priorities, particularly in light of the significant investments made.
I am proud to see that these investments, along with essential maintenance work, will continue to strengthen the cooperative’s future.
I am honored to have represented a reality that, thanks to the passion of its members and teamwork, has been able to face complex challenges and achieve ambitious goals.
I thank all those who have walked this path with me — colleagues, employees, and members — for their trust and support.
I wish the new administrators every success, confident that they will continue to lead Cadis 1898 with the same commitment and dedication, ensuring an even more prosperous future.”
Statement from the New President Gabriele Posenato
“I am proud and grateful to the Board of Directors for the trust they have placed in me.
Cadis 1898 is going through a period of profound renewal: since May we have appointed a new General Manager, the average age of the Board has decreased, and eleven of the sixteen members are new — a clear sign of openness and dynamism, essential to face the challenges of the wine sector and respond to market demands with foresight and innovation.
Our goal is to position Cadis 1898 as a strategic leader in Italian viticulture, not only within the cooperative system.
We are fortunate to manage over 6,600 hectares of vineyards, and it is crucial to increase our members’ profitability by enhancing the value of their grapes and making sound decisions that ensure their economic sustainability.
We will also continue to focus on Rocca Sveva, our center of excellence: few cooperatives of our size can boast a winery entirely dedicated to a quality-driven project, where all production stages are carried out under one roof — a model that also supports the growth of wine tourism in the Soave area.
Finally, I will devote particular attention to our younger members: my ambition is to train and support a new generation of capable, passionate winegrowers who wish to build a solid future in our sector.
We must not be afraid to show our value — the quality of our vineyards and the uniqueness of the lands we are privileged to cultivate.”
