CHARITY NIGHT, CADIS 1898 SUPPORTA “CHEF PER BENE”

“CADIS 1898 SUPPORTS THE 4TH ANNUAL “CHEFS PER BENE”: WORLD-FAMOUS VICENZA CUISINE FOR THE ONCOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF VICENZA HOSPITAL

On Tuesday 6 June, the Alla Pergola restaurant in Sarcedo near Vicenza will be the venue for the fourth annual Chef per Bene evening, a charity event created and organised by Vignato Events supporting the Department of Oncology at Vicenza’s San Bartolo hospital. This year, four of Italy’s most talented chefs, all from Vicenza, will “work their stoves” for 250 guests

and each of their dishes will be paired with a wine of CADIS 1898. Specifically, with “733” Lessini Durello DOC from Cantina di Montecchia; “COLLINERI” Lessini Durello DOC Riserva – Metodo Classico 36 months, from Cantina di Montecchia; “Fittà” Soave Classico DOC 2022, from Cantina di Soave; and “Campobrun” Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore DOC 2019, from Cantina di Illasi. “When we were asked whether we would lend our support to the initiative, we immediately said Yes,” said CADIS 1898 CEO Wolfgang Raifer. “We are proud to see our wines, so representative of the Verona area, enjoyed side by side with such great dishes by some of Vicenza’s most celebrated chefs.”

For their part, the muti-starred chefs-- Carlo Cracco, Nicola Portinari, Corrado Fasolato, and famed pasticcere Francesco Ballico--accepted the challenge with alacrity, custom-creating for the evening gala a menu whose hallmarks are fine taste, balance, and elegance.

The event will once again benefit the Amici del Quinto Piano, a group of volunteers whose mission is to support ex- and current cancer patients and their families, through involving them in activities related to culture, well-being, sound nutrition, and promotion of patient rights.
